Kern Industrie Automation receives order for plant modernization from thyssenkrupp Rasselstein
For more than 100 years, thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH, now Germany’s only tinplate manufacturer, has been producing in Andernach. Among other materials, raw material for the packaging industry is produced here – and in large quantities: Around 1.5 million tons leave the world’s largest production site for packaging steel every year. To enable the 2,400 employees to continue to perform their jobs with the same high quality and reliability, the refining facilities are also undergoing a continuous modernization process.
In an international bid to modernize this plant, the world market leader has now found what it was looking for in the region: The owner-run company Kern Industrie Automation from Höhr-Grenzhausen in the Westerwald region of Germany was able to win out over the field of applicants.
