KERN Industrie Automation is a medium-sized company from the Westerwald. For over thirty years we have been active in the field of industrial automation with a focus on steel and aluminum flat production and processing. We attach great importance to the continuous development of our employees and to passing on our many years of experience to the next generation of specialists.
For this reason, we have been training these young people in-house for a long time and ensure the necessary support from our own training manager. We have entered into a cooperation agreement with our long-standing customer thyssenkrupp Rasselstein in Andernach to give young trainees an insight into activities in related trades in addition to our own specialist area.
This involves sending young trainees to the other company’s training facility for a limited period of time for a specialist training course. Not only do they learn about alternative working methods, they also gain basic knowledge outside their actual training occupation, which they can put to good use in their later professional lives.
A classic “win-win situation”, as Simon Knopp was also able to experience. He is currently completing his apprenticeship as an electronics technician for industrial engineering at KERN Industrie Automation and was accompanied through the “Metal Basics” course at thyssenkrupp Rasselstein by the trainers Mr. Müller and Mr. Riemer.
