Together with ANDRITZ Metals Germany, KERN Industrie Automation is building a rotary hearth furnace and heat treatment plant for railroad wheels in India. The end customer Ramkrishna Titagarh Rail Wheels Ltd. is a joint venture between one of the largest suppliers of forgings in India and the country’s largest manufacturer of railroad wagons in the private sector.
Together with ANDRITZ Metals Germany, we successfully completed the integration test for our software at the machine manufacturer KREI-MA. This involved testing the interaction between the installed mechanical assemblies, control cabinets and PLC software in detail.
This means that nothing stands in the way of prompt shipment to India, so that we can confidently look forward to the next step – supervising the electrical erection on site.
